If you purchased online then you are already under warranty. The warranty is for manufacturing defects but does not cover normal wear and tear. Meaning simply,
"Wear and tear" refers to the natural deterioration of an object or material due to ordinary use and exposure over time. It's a gradual loss of function or efficiency, not necessarily from a single event, but from cumulative stress and damage. It would be impossible to warranty against the way some people treat these works-of-art. They should be treated with care and respect and they will last you a lifetime. If you overpack them with heavy items and do not care for them, they will not.
